Are there any costs or fees to enroll with Mollo Management?
The answer to this is an emphatic NO. It should always be your first question when determining whether or not a
talent representative is legitimate. There are
some companies that charge "developmental fees."
(Most often for photos, classes or showcases).
The cost of these services are usually over-priced.
Traveling to and from Manhattan for auditions should be your primary expense.
Who
is eligible for representation by Mollo Management?
Mollo Management, Inc. is a New York-based company
specializing in young actors. We accept
submissions from talent throughout New York, New
Jersey, Connecticut and Pennsylvania.
How does Mollo Management get paid?
Upon booking a job, agents and managers receive a commission from your earnings. Agents take 10% commission for legit work
(i.e. television, film and commercials). Our fee is 15%. Commission for print work (modeling) varies.
Is Mollo Management an agency?
No. We are a management company. There is a difference. If you choose to sign exclusively with an agency, you are not allowed to receive auditions from other agencies. When you sign with a manager, you work with
many agencies through that management
company, therefore increasing your number of auditions. And that is the key to finding work.

How
long will it take until I hear from Mollo
Management, Inc.?
Interviews
to meet with new clients (age four and older) are
scheduled every four to six months. Please be patient.
How
do I know whether or not my submission was received?
If you would like confirmation of receipt, include a
self-addressed stamped envelope with your mailed
submission.
You will receive an automated response when you
submit properly via email according the guidelines
above. Submissions sent to other emails will
be deleted.
Do I need professional pictures?
When
you are first starting out in the industry, professional pictures are not required for commercials and modeling, but are strongly recommended
as your career progresses. In order to be submitted for film and television projects - 8x10 headshots are required for actors
four years old and above. Once you are
selected for representation, we will recommend
reputable photographers in your price range.
Will
I require training?
Acting classes are highly recommend for actors age
seven and older in order to remain competitive in
the industry. We often recommend classes and
seminars, both on-going and intensive study to our
clients.
Must I sign a contract with Mollo Management, Inc.?
Yes. We work exclusively with all of our clients. We do not allow anyone we represent to work with other companies without our permission. We do make some exceptions but you MUST notify us first of the circumstances so that we
can establish the terms. If you do not comply with this condition, you will be eliminated from our roster.
Should I join the Actors Union?
The three primary unions we recommend to our experienced clients are the Screen Actors Guild (SAG), the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA)
and Actors Equity Association (AEA). In all cases,
we recommend you join when you are required
to do so. The goal of every actor is to
eventually work on union-affiliated jobs, but it is
not necessary if you are relatively new to the
business.
